Horseback Riding Lessons

Our Horseback Riding Lessons give children and adults of all abilities the opportunity to experience the benefits and joy of horseback riding.

We’d love to have you visit the Farm prior to your first lesson so we can select a horse and tack that is best suited for you. Depending on the rider and their goals, our lessons are a blend of:

  • Adaptive Riding Techniques which help riders learn how to ride independently. Participants work on developing riding skills like steering, posting, trotting, etc.
  • Therapeutic Riding Techniques which help riders develop balance and fine motor control through reaching, weight-shifting, and motor planning.

When are lessons available?

Classes begin in March and run through December. Spaces are limited so please register as soon as possible. One-hour lessons are currently available Monday-Friday.

Where are lessons held?

Lessons are held in our indoor arena, outdoor riding ring, horse paths, and our sensory trail.
Our horses are trained to be calm around wheelchairs and other assistive equipment.

Please note the weight limit for horseback riding lessons is 180 pounds.
