OPWDD Eligibility Requirements

ARISE is proud to offer specialized services for people with developmental disabilities. Each service is person-centered, community-based and focused on increasing independence. 

Eligibility Requirements for ARISE Services funded by the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) 

An individual must meet all three of the following: 

1. Have a developmental disability 

2. Be eligible for Medicaid 

3. Be enrolled in the Home and Community Based Services Waiver (HCBS) 

Prior approval from the Central New York Developmental Services Office is needed to receive OPWDD Supported Employment (SEMP), Community Habilitation, Respite and Family Support services.
